We are here to support you
Here at Church@thepeak, we encourage all people to come as they are. Our broken world can lead people into places of addiction to fill what is missing in their lives, with Christians and non-Christians alike falling victim to the addictive temptations of our world.
While addictions can and do take a grip of our lives - we believe that God can transform people's hearts and lives. As Jesus said "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick ... for I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Matthew 9:12-13)
Like Jesus, we welcome anyone wishing to break the bondage of compulsive behaviour and addiction.

Dealing with pornography
In a culture like ours that is highly sexualised and desensitised to pornography, Christians are not immune. Research, and the experience of ministers, recognises that pornography is a struggle for Christians; men and women alike. Like any drug, pornography is both addictive destructive.
The great news of the gospel is, not only does it lead to transformed lives, but through trusting in Jesus we are forgiven for our sexual failings. The Bible promises that in Christ we are washed clean and made new (1 Corinthians 6:11).
If you are using pornography, we strongly recommend that you seek support from a trusted Christian friend who can help you fight this, and experince the freedom that Jesus promises. If appropriate, seek professional support (see our Counselling page for support near you).
