What things are in place to make church Covid safe?
What about Kids’ Church and Base Camp?
We are really excited for Kids’ Church and Base Camp will recommence gathering again. To help manage our numbers in a Covid-Safe way, we need to split the programmes for our children and adults in separate buildings. Also, a NSW Health requirement is for gathering in separate buildings is to start and finish the two programmes at different times. Therefore, Kids’ Church and Base Camp will start at 9:45am. Church will commence as usual at 10:00am and conclude by approximately 10:50am. Kids’ Church and Base Camp will conclude at 11:00am, at which point parents will need to collect their children and leave the premises immediately.
Under what circumstances should I NOT come to church?
Please do not come to church if you or a member of your household are displaying Covid / Flu like symptoms. Also do not come if you or a member of your household has had a recent Covid test and is yet to get the result, or you have been to a recent Covid Hot Sport. In addition, do not come if you or a member of your household is considered a close contact of someone who has Covid-19, and you are required to self-isolate.
Will we have music?
Yes, as we have been doing while church is online, we will have 2 or 3 songs during our service. Only the band are able to sing at this time.
What about cleaning?
Cleaning will involve wiping down surfaces such as tables, chairs, door handles, railings, and equipment. We will be using hospital grade wipes to make it a one-step process. A checklist will be provided to ensure everything is covered. Cleaning will be done on a rostered basis by growth group.
What will mingling look like?
Reducing or avoiding mingling is key to helping stop the spread of the virus. Therefore, we need to ensure we do not gather in groups before or after church. We need to ensure that once we have checked in at the Welcome Desk, we proceed to our seats. Moving about and mixing with others in groups is to be avoided. Rather, it is better to fellowship at our table groups and ‘go deep with a few’ rather catching up briefly with many.
Do I need to book to come to church?
