Bible Reading
The Bible reading for the day is in service details on Elvanto under the ‘Plan’ tab

​Preparation
Make sure you practice it a few times before hand to familiarise yourself with:

• People and place names
• Where pauses and emphasis should be placed in your reading

Before you read

• Tell everyone the passage AND page number
• You may like to give a one sentence introduction to remind people what we heard the previous week and help set the scene
• If the service leader hasn’t already done so, pray for God to help us understand his word
• Wait until everyone has stopped flipping the pages and found the passage. We want to make sure everyone can read along as you read.

When you read

• Read with expression
• Read slowly
• Read clearly
  

When you finish

• You might like to say “This is God’s word to us” or “This is God’s word”
